The Fall is a good time for a beginner camping experience. Well-chosen campgrounds with amenities supporting first-timers and families can help create a positive trip. The humidity is gone, it’s not super hot, but it’s also not really cold, and there aren’t as many bugs flying around in the fall. Here are a few recommended campgrounds to set up your tent and enjoy the experience.
Campgrounds For Beginners
“You might want to go somewhere with a decent camping store in case you forget things. The KOA in Millersville is where we went first with our pop-up camper. There’s also a Jellystone in Hagerstown that’s great for kids. Ramblin Pines in Woodbine is also popular. We prefer cheaper state parks now, but we are seasoned campers.” – Bill H.
