Educators and anyone who works with children should consider getting trained in Growing Up WILD Aug. 15.
Growing Up WILD is an interdisciplinary early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature, inviting them to explore wildlife and the world around them.
Throughout the workshop, participants will go through various activities in the Growing Up WILD guide and will learn about ways to connect young children to nature.
The free workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, 580 Taylor Ave. in Annapolis. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive the Growing Up WILD curriculum book. The workshop is geared toward educators, daycare providers, community leaders, and anyone who works with children ages 3-7.
