On January 15, 2024, you can volunteer alongside Service Year Option, Maryland Corps, and AmeriCorps members for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service.
United Way of Central Maryland along with United Ways across Maryland have partnered with the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation. Volunteer projects across the state will address some of the issues that impact Marylanders the most, like food access, transportation, housing, and mental health. Volunteers are invited to join in this day of giving back to our Maryland communities both at in-person opportunities and virtually.
“In the words of Dr. King, ‘Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve,’” said Franklyn Baker, president and CEO of United Way of Central Maryland. “We are honored to bring this day to our communities along with other United Ways and partners across the state of Maryland, and in partnership with Governor Moore. This is a day for everyone to come together in the spirit of leaving no one behind.”
