Valentine’s Day is on its way! Here are two fun party ideas for throw for your kids!
Love you to Pizzas!
What better day to throw a party for your kids than the day all about love? Our kids absolutely love pizza, so we threw a Valentine’s party centered around just that!

To celebrate we set the mood with simple decorations to make this an easy party to put together. The spotlight on the table was the pizza and our Love You To Pizzas sign. We used our letterboard but you can easily create this with a chalkboard. We picked up pizzas to make things even easier but you could even make your own pizzas for a fun activity.

The party activity was to decorate your own cake, which also served as table decorations. This may sound intimidating but it really wasn’t! I made the cakes beforehand and stacked them with the middle icing layer.

I had toppings in small bowls down the center of the table as well as a couple different colored frostings ready in disposable piping bags to decorate the cakes with. I also purchased cake boxes from the local bakery so the cakes could be easily transported. The kids loved getting to create their very own cake full of sweets—and of course all the snacking on toppings.

For Christmas there’s gingerbread houses decorated with candy canes and gumdrops but what about Valentine’s Day?
While brainstorming ideas for Valentine’s activities all I could think about was how much fun they have decorating gingerbread houses. So, I pulled out all the pink, purple, and red goodies to build a Love Cottage!

I whipped up a quick buttercream icing and used gel food coloring for the Valentine colors. After sorting out the candies they got right to decorating. Addalyn was very intentional with her decorating. Ruby the complete opposite just packed as much icing and candy as she could fit on her house. Ash loved sprinkling his house with nothing on it.
The best part of building a Love Cottage? Smashing it at the end to eat it!
