Make some handprint Christmas ornaments to decorate your tree plus have a fun project to do with your kids.
It’s an easy project and chances are that you have most of the supplies already in your house.
Get some plain undecorated ornaments. Plastic ones work just great and you don’t have to worry about breakage.
You will also need:
- white non-toxic washable craft paint
- paint brush
- fine-tip markers

Next step is to cover your child’s palm with the washable paint.
Then have your child hold the ornament her palm and wrap her fingers upward to leave finger prints on the ball.
Let the paint dry.

After the paint has dried, it’s time to use the markers to draw faces, hats, scarves and anything else you would like to do to decorate the ornament.
Hang the finished ornament on your tree and enjoy for years to come.
A big thank you to Jenn Jeffries who won the Chesapeake Family staff Ornament Decorating Contest with this project. Jenn also took all of the photos.
