Camps with a little bit of everything
Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks- Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks is THE destination for camps and programs for ALL AGES! There are many day camp opportunities including: Summer Day Camps, Summer Fun Centers, Art Camps, Science and Engineering Camps, Theatre Performance and Dance Camps, Sports Camps, Summer Aquatics Camps, Nature Exploration Camps, Teens on the Go, and Adaptive Day Camps for all abilities.
Bayside Summer Adventure Camp- Bayside Camp is a unique private summer camp program operated at Sandy Point State Park where kids choose how they spend their time at camp. Some kids choose sports all day, everyday (like soccer, football, lacrosse or basketball to name a few). While others prefer to be on or near the water doing crabbing, fishing or paddle boarding. Do they prefer art, science, nature or cooking? Mix it up, the choice is theirs. With around 40+ activities that change slightly each week there is something for everyone.
Camp Wabanna– Wabanna Camp and Retreat Center operates a 7-week summer Residential Camp for boys and girls ages 7-16 and an 8-week Summer Day Camp for boys and girls ages 4-13. Camps run from mid-June to mid-August. Wabanna offers an intense, action-packed schedule filled with a wide variety of team building activities and events such as group games, low and high element challenge courses, boating and tubing, sailing, and kayaking.
Camps with great sports
All-Sport Kids Academy- At All-Sport Kids Academy, kids spend their days playing various sports and games while learning teamwork and good sportsmanship. ASKA Summer Camp at API is AACO’s Most Popular Summer Camp with over 600 campers each summer. Campers enjoy playing sports such as soccer, lacrosse, tennis, basketball, kickball, and an assortment of active and creative games such as Obstacle Courses and Flag Snag.
Benfield Sports Center- At Benfield Sportscenter Summer Camp, we play various sports, tagging games, and other activities every day. We do not offer specific skills training, our focus is on fun and participation. Our activity schedule is not set for each day; however, our schedule always follows a similar format. Think of it as elementary school gym class, but all day long!
Camps out on the Water
Brendan Sailing- Brendan Sailing programs give the gift of self-confidence, social and life skills to youth with Learning Differences. Our beach-based Annapolis day programs run for one or two weeks beginning in mid-June. In July, the program moves to St. Mary’s County, featuring day and overnight camps, which allow the development of independence while living in the college dorm space at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Scholarships available — no youth turned away for inability to pay.
Capital SUP- Kids will learn to paddle, enjoy Stand up Paddleboard games, “party barge” races, fitness fun, and our new water trampoline. Campers will go on nature walks, have adventures, do crafts, and enjoy the outdoors! All kids are required to wear life jackets while they are in the water. This is the only paddleboard camp that is licensed and uses certified lifeguards as instructors.
Camps that focus on the arts
Maryland Hall- Maryland Hall offers a variety of weekly summer day camps running mid-June through mid-August for ages 5 & up. Your young artist can have some fun with clay, dance, spend an intensive week studying under their MD Hall Teaching Artist preparing for a portfolio review, or learn music with Paul Reed Smith. With options for a variety of age groups and mediums each week, we guarantee a fun, safe, and creative summer!
Naptown Sings- What keeps kids coming back year after year? Our Summer Music Camps are jam-packed with music, more music, and fun! Students, ages 3-11 of all levels and abilities (no experience necessary), will have the opportunity to learn to sing in our pop glee clubs, drum their hearts out in world drumming class, play various instruments, and participate in fun musical activities! In addition, our older kids (6-11) will learn an instrument: piano or ukulele. Our younger students (ages 3-5) will be immersed in a world of music exploration, from instrument playing, to rhythm and melody, and of course, fun!
Camps at Schools
Summer at Key- With more than 150 fun and enriching camps to choose from in 2024, we are confident that you’ll find something to match your child’s interests. From themed traditional camps for the youngest campers to specialty STEM, cooking, art, adventure and athletic camps, we are committed to creating a memorable summer experience for all of our campers.
Summer at Severn- Choose your own adventure with Severn’s Summer Camps! From painting to filmmaking to yoga to lacrosse, we have camps for every interest and every age, including middle-school. Severn’s Teel Camps include some exciting new offerings that are sure to help campers entering grades 6-9 find their summer spark.
Summer at Summit- Camp Summit is for bright children entering grades 1-8 who struggle with reading, writing and math. Morning academics followed by fun afternoon recreation activities! Academic morning and fun activities in the afternoon. 8:25 am – 3:00 pm. Specialty Camps for students entering grades 6-9 build skills in writing and executive functions.
Camps with a little science thrown in
CSI Summer Camp- There is money missing, and a big animal skull left outside the building next to a shoe print. What is going on? Use real forensic techniques to solve the crime and then participate in a trial to see if you can convict the guilty party. This 5 day camp also includes a forensics field trip and lots of hands on STEM activities.
Mary’s Land Farm- Mary’s Land Camp, an ACA-accredited camp located in Howard County, invites you to join the camp family this summer during our farm camp sessions! Our goal is to educate the youth about farming and other life skills. Campers are immersed into the outdoors, learning how to care for farm animals, plants and greenhouses, different types of water conservation, getting hands-on experience in nature exploration, and more.
