Located on 342 acres along the Eastern Shore, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is the perfect destination to get outside and explore the Eastern Shore. Right now, guests can save on a winter vacation with the “Getaway” promotion.
Situated on the banks of the Choptank River, the resort is an ideal destination for families to view local birds and wildlife. When guests check in at the resort, they receive a guide with tips on how to spot birds that are frequently seen around the property, from bald eagles and snow geese to the famous great blue heron. The guide also includes a photo identification guide of local bird species, and information on how to download birding apps with international registries.
Over President’s Day weekend between February 12 and 15, the resort will be taking part in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC), a community science project led by Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada. Guests are encouraged to watch and count birds they spot at the resort using the eBird mobile app to participate.
In addition to the wildlife viewing opportunities available on-property, the resort is also a short drive away from the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, which features 28,000 acres of tidal marsh land designated as a refuge for migratory waterfowls.
After a day exploring the local area, families can enjoy a round of putt-putt, disc golf, roast s’mores at the Grand Fireplace, or visit the resort’s glass-enclosed Winter Gardens which features a 23-meter heated pool and an indoor/outdoor hot tub.
The “Getaway” promotion is available by visiting the resort’s website at HyattRegencyChesapeakeBay.com, selecting the preferred stay dates, and using the GET19A special offer code. The promotion is valid when booked before February 28, 2021 for stay dates before April 3, 2021.
