Q&A with Calvary Center School:
What makes Calvary Center School unique?
Calvary Center School has 40 years of experience and a highly-qualified, stable staff of teachers who love giving preschoolers a joyful, stimulating and nurturing first school experience. We provide not only a strong foundation in literacy and math, but also a positive attitude toward learning as well as friendship and cooperation. We are proud to hear that kindergarten staff at local schools know that they can expect well-prepared students from Calvary Center School.
Our degreed teaching staff provides developmentally appropriate learning opportunities designed to stimulate and encourage growth of the whole child. Utilizing a study based curriculum approved by the Maryland Department of Education, children are challenged with a hands-on approach to learning. Social studies, science, math, language arts, and art lessons are incorporated into daily activities and we provide Music Classes, Physical Education Classes and Chapel weekly.
We invite you to visit our school to learn more about our programs. See our native Maryland educational garden and herb garden where students use their senses to learn about life cycles of plants. While on campus, you may even see the variety of waterfowl that have taken up residence including ducks, Canadian geese and blue herons.
