Admiral Heights
Admiral Heights, a community only a mile from the center of Annapolis, is one of the best places to live in Maryland. It is a waterfront community with access to a pier, boat club and waterfront park. The first home was built in 1951 and now there are 625 homes, most dating from the 1950s. Streets are named for famous Navy Admirals and the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium is located adjacent to the community.
Mature trees provide for a pleasant walking environment around the community. There are plenty of trails to walk on, including the Poplar Trail, which empties out right at the Graduate Hotel on West Street in Annapolis.
Admiral Heights residents enjoy many community events including spring and fall yard sales, a Halloween party, Greenscape projects, July 4th Bike Parade, Block Party at Halsey Park, and Navy football tailgate parties. There is also a Garden Club, Moms Club and Swim Team for kids in the summer.
The restaurants of downtown Annapolis are close by and the newly renovated Annapolis Library is a short walk away. There is also a large recreation field where many recreation leagues practice and have their games.

There are 625 single family homes in Admiral Heights. 40% of households have children under age 18 and 10.7% of residents are minorities, as compared to 41.8% of a minority population in the state of Maryland.
Recreation
Admiral Heights is an active community with many residents enjoying the pool, waterfront access, biking and walking. Sidewalks all the way to downtown Annapolis make a walk into downtown Annapolis pleasant. The proximity to the Annapolis Sports Complex with four grass fields gives kids plenty of play space for team sports.
