Anne Arundel County Public Library is holding its third annual Library Happenings Cover Art Contest. Kids from ages 11 to 18 are encouraged to share their best artwork.

The prize
The winning artwork will be featured on the cover of the Fall 2013 issue of Library Happenings and the artist will receive a $25 gift card to Michaels craft stores.
The Rules
Entries must be in color, portrait-oriented, on plain 8.5 x 11 paper and rendered in colored pencil, pastel, watercolor or other paint and/or digital photography, among other mediums. One entry per person. Entrants must have an Anne Arundel County Public Library card. All artwork must be original and should not include text. Judges will choose the winner, who will be announced on Facebook on April 19.
Digital submissions are welcome, but must be in high resolution (300+ dpi) jpeg format and within the 8.5×11 confines. Name, address, Library card number, age, phone number and email address must be included in
the email or accompany the artwork. The Library reserves the right to disqualify any artwork deemed inappropriate or not adhering to the rules.
How to enter
Artwork can be submitted at any branch or by email (aacplteen@gmail.com) from now until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 31.
If you want to see your competition, submissions that meet the guidelines will be posted on both the teen and main AACPL Facebook pages during National Library Week (April 14-20).
