A 12-year-old Annapolis artist is one of two winners of the Annapolis Boat Shows 2014 Poster Contest.
A watercolor by Brenna Litynski was chosen to represent the 2014 Bay Bridge Boat Show.
Litynski is one of the youngest members of the Annapolis Watercolor Club and enjoys creating art in all mediums, but watercolor, pastel, charcoal and colored pencil are her favorites. She is homeschooled and reveals a great passion for art, animals, and marine life. Litynski plans to donate proceeds from the auction of her artwork at the Bay Bridge Boat Show to the Veterans Artist Program.
Kaeli Smith, a young professional artist from Annapolis with her own design company and a student at the University of Delaware, created the winning poster for the 2014 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show.
“I am delighted to recognize two immensely talented people. The winning artists not only capture the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, but use creative imagery and motifs to illustrate sailboat and powerboat themes,” said Paul Jacobs, President of the Annapolis Boat Shows.
Both winners will display their artwork at the respective boat shows and signed posters will be available for purchase.
The Bay Bridge Boat Show is scheduled for April 11 – 13 and the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show is April 25 – 27. For details visit the Annapolis Boat Shows website.
